Month Review: July 2026
✦ Sanguine Sunrise Demo ✦
First off, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who downloaded Sanguine Sunrise or has supported us so far in general! At the time of me writing this blogpost, we currently have 71 downloads!! I'm genuinely so flattered that so many people are interested enough in our Demo to try it out.
I'm gonna do my best to make sure we can create a final product that I can be proud of,
but to be honest I'm already very proud of what Dalys and I have done so far.
She's an amazing writer and the work she's done to turn the initial concept I had into a concrete story with fleshed out characters has been amazing.
I also feel like the past experience I had with making Hoarfrost Wires for the Robotic Romance Jam has been a learning experience
that I can apply with Sanguine Sunrise, especially in regards to coding with Renpy and my art.
I really like how everything so far has turned out. And I really hope everyone ends up enjoying the full release when it comes out!
✦ Toxic Yuri VN Jam Entries ✦
With that aside, I've been in genuine awe at all the amazing VNs that have come out of the Toxic Yuri VN Jam. My backlog is over 70+ entries at the least, I haven't been able to count the exact same amount because there's so many cool entries that I have saved. I logged all the entries I have read so far in my Games Log here➚. I also wanted to shout-out some of the wonderful entries I have read so far that have warped my brain (affectionately).

I am trying to read at least 50+ entries before September,
since that's when the new Fire Emblem game "Fortune's Weave" comes out, which I am very much bouncing off the walls in excitement for.
Limbus Company's Canto 10 also got delayed to September, but I think it'll take less time for me to play through that since it's a live game/releases in Parts.
My point is, my reasoning for this is because I want to give my attention to the Toxic Yuri Jam VNs before Fortune's Weave releases.
I love to read and I read fast, so I'm glad I have a huge backlog of VNs since that'll give me something to enjoy for the rest of the year.
I'm so very happy for everyone who submitted something.
This community has been very welcoming and supportive, especially the Fluxer server. I've met a lot of cool people, and seeing all the work they have put/are putting in their creative projects has given me more motivation in working on my own. Hopefully this will finally motivate me to start working on my RPGMaker game for Melinoe.
✦ Other Stuff ✦
Summer is almost over (¬_¬ )
My siblings are gearing up to get ready for school again.
I've still been waffling on if I wanna go back to university with them due to my ongoing jobhunting woes.
I've asked everyone I could talk to for advice on what I should do, but I know that at the end of the day its my career and therefore my decision.
Adulting sucks.
But yea, I just wanted to talk about this because if I start getting busier/less active online during autumn this will likely be the reason why.
With all that aside, thank you for reading! And congrats again to all of the Toxic Yuri Jam participants!
See you in August! ★
